They just came at the right time Julia as the weather is awful today and I have a stinker of a cold now !
We were both lucky Sandra with the weather ! Good job they didn't come today !

Very sunny here until 2pm , but then the rain started .
We tried to walk the beach , but the wind was just too strong for us , so it was feint- lights .
Very few other folk out .

It hasn't been as bad as forecast, today Julia..but it's come with a vengeance tonight..what we should have got this morning..gale force winds,torrential rain..just looking out of the window,makes me think of all those poor people having this continuously..we are getting off very lightly...

We had the gales last night, in full force ! At the moment though I'm feeling very sorry for myself with this awful cold! At least I got my plants in !

Tuck in and make the most of the respite .
I feel that there ought to be more done to help the unfortunate people in the South West .
If it was abroad somewhere , there would be collections and aid sent in , surely ?

You are so right Julia ! We are so lucky living where we do! Living near the east coast means that we miss most of the really severe weather ! I feel so sorry for all of these people! There are always constant adverts asking for our money for other countries and the government seem to forget that British people need help too !
