Having an airing outside..

Goodness me, haven't you done well? I've only managed to keep one Geranibum from last year...they're not one of my successes I'm afraid.

They should start romping away ,now they have some new compost,Waddy..and I love Freya's interpretation...:o)

Thanks Shirley..I think having a reasonable winter has helped,so I have been lucky,..even the Begonia Semps are doing well..Carole overwintered hers ok last year,so I thought I would have a go too..something I wouldn't have thought of doing ..but glad I did..I might even be able to split them..something else my dear friend did with success :o)

They all look healthy shall await their flowers.

Managed to overwinter mine this year Sandra.... never done it before!Shall certainly do again.Never thought of changing compost tho'...Ah well another job!!!!

That's good,Val..I only repotted them because they were looking a bit tired,and when I watered them ,it just ran straight through,with keeping them dry most of the winter..It will probably be end of May before they are planted out,so it will help them on their way again..:o)

I'm glad they all survived Sandra you feel as if you have personally achieved something don't you , well done :o)

Well done Sandra ! I have over wintered mine again this year, Im pleased you did you Begonias too! dont know about keeping your purse shut though especially as we may be walking around the GC tomorrow after our meal;0))

I've managed to bring a fair few through the Winter too, for once, although all the ones which were brought indoors died! Last year, the 'indoors' did fine. Strange. Must admit, like Gralew, I hadn't thought of replacing compost but think I will now.

Oh dear,that's odd isn't it? all mine have always been in an unheated Conservatory ,so maybe they got too warm in the house ? just a thought,with change of temperatures at different times of day/night..They have really done well,since potting on,as some are now starting to flower..although,I am taking the buds off the Pelargoniums,as I want them to put on more foliage yet..

Thanks ,they are all in the growhouse now,taking their chances,but I lift them out in the daytime,if it's warm enough..still a cold wind some days,isn't it? a few of the leaves on the Pelargoniums have caught it a bit,but I'll just take them off..no worries ...

Yes the nights are still chilly here in the soft south lol had the heating on this afternoon, would you believe it?

It was a beautiful day yesterday,but that wind is back today....we have the gas fire on,but the heating is still on in the mornings..I don't do cold bathrooms :o)
