miniature Iris 1

thanks and thanks, TT! I've planted dawf Iris, but not where this is, and none of them has come up yet.

I do like the markings. I hope mine are as pretty when they do come up.

The iris in the photo doesn't look to be very deep into the ground ... I wonder if the bulb was disturbed and 'replanted' by wildlife ? Looks like it has a second flower coming up ... can you see that ?

only now that you mention it! it had been raining so i couldn't get down on my front and get really close to it.

But now I know what it is, I can see about getting more bulbs. I bought 300 litres of bark chips for mulching, not got round to it yet, but should be able to give the delicate plants some assistance

Blue has always been my very faourite colour, even when I was too young to understand that "blue is for boys"!! (lol you wouldn't believe how much contempt I can get into the word "pink" after years of being forced to wear it!!)

And the darker end of the specturm, sapphire-ish. Not sure what exact shade the iris is, but it fits neatly into my "oh, yes!" classification
