Salmonberries (Rubus spectabilis)

They are abundant in our area. Salmonberry form large thickets on our property. Sometimes I pick them when walking around. They are best to eat that way because they are very fragile to transport. They have high moisture content. I share them with robins ...they like them too.

The flowers are very attractive too & the thickets must look quite pretty,a bonus in addition to the fruit.

Yes Feverfew, flowers are attractive pinkish-purple in colour that are a magnet for hummingbirds and we have lots of hummingbirds. The plant loves the moisture we have here and unfortunately I cannot keep it in check.

Sort of like raspberries Homebird, but not as sweet.
