No Andrew ,I bought it today it's an evergreen perennial ,apparently you should pick off any dead flowers helping it to produce more flowers throughout the summer but leave some to seed as although it's a perennial it's not a long living perennial .. it's very attractive I will save seed for next year ...

I love the red! I have the blue which has escaped gardens and become a wildflower. It, along with chicory, turns our roadsides blue in June. You have an amazing variety of plants, Amy.
