Oh beautiful, loved mine for a few years until the dreaded winter of 2010 had it away. Love to smell the flowers, they really are like pineapple.

Yes Carole it is also called the Pineapple tree , Oh Dawn what a shame you can't beat nature can you ,I'm not sure how long a life they have Shirl how old was yours ? we did take off a couple of dead looking branches in the spring !

Had had mine for about 5 years until the cold winter took it, loved it, might risk another one, miss the smell and the contrast between the grey leaves and the yellow flowers. I could put it somewhere more sheltered :-)
