Lotus Dorynium hirsutum

What a wonderful looking plant Amy! A new one to me . . . how tall is it, and does it have a scent??

It only grow about a foot in height Sheila but forms a nice big round patch approx. 2ft across the Bees absolutely love it ,it has a very faint scent it will sometimes die down in the winter but will often seed its self near the parent plant I have found new baby ones near by ... I can save you some seed at the end of the season if you would like some ... this has survived well our winters haven't been that bad !

It's terrific isn't it! The bees will be all over it! I had this in my old garden. It's evergreen, which is terrific!

Marmy's gone from your avatar then ... That's made me feel a bit sad. She was very much like Blodyn .... I still miss Blodyn, and now Marmy too ... :(

Mine died this winter? Took the cold of 2012/13, but hated the wet winter of 2013/14.

Hywel I thought about taking Marmy off here for a long time I didn't want to but then I realized it made me sad to see her photo because we still missed her even after 4 years ,I think it's best to keep her in our memories ,she was very much like Blodyn and I know you still miss her !
