Oh my! Well done Dawn....patient lady! There is an avenue of these at Kensington Palace Gardens. They were in flower when we were there....incredible! I first saw this in a nursery here in Dundee. I had no idea what it was and was bowled over by it. Absolutely gorgeous! :)) I imagine you were thrilled to see your first flower after 12 years of a wait!

Iv'e heard of it but never seen a flower Dawn. Will it flower each year from now on?

Thanks everyone, yes, worth the wait, I given up. Not sure if it will flower each year now, I know the trees have to be mature before they flower, maybe the mild winter and hardly any late frosts helped, not sure.
