Climber for moist soil growing from a small white tuber. In Scotland, plant it and stand clear; in the hotter, drier parts of the country, plant it in the hope you might see it one day.

It does well in my garden Andrew - happily grows through my privet hedge. It was so mild here this winter it didn't even die back.

Although we had a mild, wet winter as well, it's been very hot and dry here for an extended period (except for today), so I was surprised to see it in flower.
