butterfly...Can someone tell me what it is please?..

Karen has one on her photo page, she says it is a Tiger Moth, have a look they look the same to me, its a really beautiful creature :O) I have never seen one of these before. :O)

and again it has posted twice, what is it with this site this morning, maybe it is just me. lol. got a bit of a headache. lol :O)

How lovely it is ... I just read up on it to find the conspicuous patterns serve as a warning to predators, the moth's body fluids are poisonous. We learn something new every day! :o)

It is indeed a Garden Tiger Moth....in decline in recent years and generally found in costal areas....Its a beauty...:>)

Lovely to have this special moth in your garden Motinot. It's a Garden Tiger Moth. The brown caterpillars are very hairy with an orange hairy head, and feed on nettles, dandelions and other low growing plants.
