I know what you mean Bloomer, my Lobelia have been very long bloomers this year which is unusual as I find they are usually over by the end of July perhaps its because they self seeded?

Occasionally some of my Lobelia have self seeded,but this years don't look as though they will have a chance of doing that..they are rubbish this year..most unusual..My Bacopa came through last winter,,and still flowering their socks off ..
