Still some colour :-)

Is the camera at an angle? Or the pergola a bit wonky?

It does look a bit weird in this picture doesn't it,it is the camera angle the border starts off narrow at the pergola end then gets wider, the garden was a really steep slope when we moved here so before we could do anything we had to have it terraced there's still a slight dip halfway down this bit so the border follows the line of that, the pergola is at the top of steps that lead to another lower area and the wood :-)

My metal pergola has one leg which has sunk, can't do anything about it, am hoping the soil will eventually settle under the leg. It leads upwards to the boundary fence, all of 3 m away. Oh! to have such space.

We've had a big problem due to all the rain last winter, we have a huge water tank buried in the garden that's supposed to recycle rainwater round toilets, washing machine etc, its never flippin worked, apart from the first few months,we've had several people look at it who've never been able to fix it, the wood surrounding the tank caved in so now we have a huge hole, it has decking over the top for easy maintenance with a swing seat on top needless to say I haven't sat on that all summer for fear of falling into the depths!!!, we're still trying to decide what to do with this huge hole, think it'll end up being filled in, the list of jobs for Rob when he retires next year just keeps getting longer, he won't be bored that's for sure :-)

Does it fill up with water? Our sister in law has a large rain water collection tank,(previously a septic tank) they have installed an old fashioned hand pump and use the water for garden irrigation.

Looks great Kathy, I'm enjoying the September colours in my garden too.

Lovely to still have some flowers out. The butterflies and bees are still visiting in numbers at the moment.

Great to have so much colour still..
