140914 - it wasn't looking too happy in the pot, so I took it out; the roots were enough to make it slightly potbound, so it's got plenty of room now. I put some fertliser products into the hole, hope that'll help

I've not checked it closely for a while - not thought of going round the corner of the shed! I didn't realise when I bought it that the label says it can grow 4 metres high and wide - probably wouldn't have bought it if I had! I'll settle for maybe 6 feet, need to know that I can get to the back to prune, don't want it to stick too much over the fence, not fair on the neighbour

Should be ok there Fran providing enough water if dry and warm. These too can get very frisky after about 3 years on. Can be a battle to stay in control. They can grow anywhere. Often on walls and out of chimneys. Try pruning right back to a few inches when growth restarts in spring.
