Now it's funny you should mention Nigella Tommymoo I grew it for the first time this year and have been collecting seed,thank you for the offer though :-)
I'm surprised how well they do here SIris in my heavy clay, I read they aren't long lived but mine have been going for quite a few years now, this ones self seeded in the path .

Isn't it strange they always look to me like they'd like really good drainage but if you saw my soil where these are planted!!!

This reminded me of Nigella domascena (love-in-a-mist, ragged lady), merely from the colour. Have you got this Nigella thing? I bet you've got some, but if not, I'll send you some seeds. Please let me know :-)
