Kalanchoe delagoensis

Kalanchoe delagoensis (Bryophyllum delagoense)

These must seed readily. They are everywhere in our yard and sneak almost in all pots.

Love these. You are lucky to have them popping up everywhere. You have a lot of colour around you. Love the Brugmansia too.

Thank you for your comment Feverfew. You are right ...lots of colour around and not only flowers .
Mexicans like very vivid colours.
I should make a blog on the colours around me. So much different from the environment where we live up-north.

That's early. The ones here are not blooming yet...maybe in about a month.

This plant is extremely weedy. It pops up by the hundreds around here and in the parks.

They always bloom, all winter Delonjx. Some are going other are coming.

I'll have to see if some are starting to bloom here. I haven't notice any in my neighborhood, yet.

The reason that it pops up everywhere is that it forms small plantlets near the end of the leaves. These drop and root.

That is an outstanding colour!

There is some confusion over whether it is Kalanchoe or Bryophyllum. I've just added a photo of the plantlets on my Bryophyllum daigremontiana.

Thanks Meanie for the information. It is true about the plantlets. I have never noticed it. I mean I did not know that these little " plantlets" are how the plant reproduces itself. And they are hundreds of them. I was looking for seeds and could not find any.

Meanie:

There's many species of Kalanchoe which develop plantlets along their leaves.

I used to have Bryophyllum (Kalanchoe) daigremontiana in the San Francisco Bay Area. It would pop up all over my yard. They're easy to pull out, though.

I noticed your Bryophyllum daigremontiana Meanie. It is very interesting plant. I have not see it around here yet.
I was trying to pronounce it few times but its not very easy name to remember :-)
