According to the label this is C coum. It has been in flower from August when this photo was taken.

The label says C. coum and I bought it late autumn [not in flower] a year ago and it flowered in spring. But so many garden centres use extra heat to force plants on, no wonder they get confused.

I love these. Mine are coming along nicely in a pot - it's their 2nd year.

January would be considered about right for C.Coum to flower outside in the garden, The few leaves I can see look more like the autumn Hederifolium.
Coum leave are invariably round and well established before the flowers start, the flowers are also usually more squat and rounded .
The thing that does not fit is that you say it flowered in spring .You may be right the growers do odd things to obtain plants in flower.
As I write this have spotted Burncoose nursery have a good picture to the right you can clearly see how rounded leaves and flower are

thats what I find confusing, the leaves are certainly more like hederifolium but the flower is quite squat. either way it's a lovely magenta colour.
