That is so cute , I have a lot of very old little terracotta pots ....I have some old apple boxes , I wouldn't have thought of doing this.... all right call me copycat !!!

They are so lovely. I am going to try to get rid of all my plastic pots this year. They are hopeless in our cold climate. We need the drainage and aeration that terracotta offers in the greenhouse. I could do with some tiny ones for seedlings.

Karen nurseries rarely use them but often they have some gathering dust under staging use your female charm and you might bag some for next to nothing, the older the better even if you have to soak them to clean.
Newer ones were only baked once older ones twice and much more frost resistant.
Old ones often have the finger marks of the potter in them.

OH planted them up, ideal for succulents, I do love TKs.........go for it Amy, my father had lots of old potato and apple boxes wish I still had them........

Fran the box with all the little terracotta pots in was bought from TK Maxx my OH planted them up with succulents and sempervivums.... does it Meanie? It is just your average sempervivum...

lol this is why I hate throwing anything away, "it might come in handy some day". Got so much stuff to recycle, once the wearther clears enough to let me work outside.
