This one seems to hold its head nicely upright!

some are more upright than others, I am trying to grow them in the raised border where the height shows them off better. Thanks for looking in everyone. :O)

lucky you. We have SNOW plantings everywhere and in every color. I doubt we will ever get Spring at this rate I think Helebores are one of the most rewarding plants. Not too much work, and so pretty...

Hi Michaella, thank you, they are so pretty and spreading their wings now, so happy to see colour returning to the borders. Hope you are all well down your end of the country. I have not been on here much as I have been busy clearing out all the debris in the garden from last year, finished yesterday so am looking forward to relaxing more and looking more now. :O)

Hi Barbara,

Nice to hear from you. I too have not been on here much lately. I have gardened throughout the winter. In that time I have taken down my giant conifer tree hedge. If you remember the ones I prunned a few years ago... I have now cut them to the ground myself, saving hundreds of pounds. I have replaced them with a line of Cherry Trees, Hawthorn Trees, one 'Crimson Cloud' and Crataegus 'Flore Pleno', as well as some acer trees for autumn colour. All the new trees are over 6 feet tall, looking at them everyday, hoping they will bloom this year. Can't wait. It should look a hundred times better than a line of darkness, which were the conifers. I am back on here in full swing now, there are lots to share and talk about...it's this time of year again :)))))) Happy gardening xxxx

You sound like you have been busy again Michaella, glad you managed to get those Leylandii down by yourself. Hard work chopping down old tree stumps, but you will see the benefit this summer as more light gets through to the new border. Looking forward to seeing the new trees when you get the chance to take some pictures. :O)
