Anemone Coronaria St. Brigid

Gosh, so pretty. These have made me smile Amy. It's damp and dreich and foggy here and I'm just about to go out to GC just to get some cheer!

That's a beauty Amy, I planted lots of corms, but no sign of anything yet. What sort is this one?:-)

Thanks Amy. I bought five herbs for a tenner and potted them up in the greenhouse. It's pouring here and today has not been very productive. But tonight I am starting afresh at Weightwatchers and I think that has been on my mind today. The dreaded scales Amy! :/

What a difference Karen its been a lovely sunny day here , I love herbs and wouldn't be without them it won't be long before you can put them outside , Oh No ! Weightwatchers think of it as fun its bound to be a sociable evening the weight will drop off after a few laughs :o))

Actually, I am really looking forward to it this time. I think my brain is ready for it!

Lovely Anemones, Amy! :-)) I have some that are red as well although they were supposed to be purple! They have started to flower this week & don't contrast at all well with Crocuses! :-((

Its a shame you can't always guarantee they will come exactly the colour you would like Balcony but still nice to see and welcome .....

Amy the Anemone was one of the bulbs that Simon and Clare brought me to plant in the little pots; hope they re a lovely red like yours;0)

i want to grow this .... i will try to find on line .... they are beautiful Amy, they remind me of the winter rose, which I do have under my mulberry tree.

I hope so Carole if not I'm sure they will be just as pretty ,
I hope you find some bulbs Saranf. You lucky person having a Mulberry tree is your tree very old what do you do with the fruit ?

Thank you Linda , Julia they are lovely funny thing is the ones growing next them are completely red !

I now have several red Anemones open in the pots on my balcony & yesterday I spotted a white one in bud! No purple ones just yet though! The dwarf purple Tulips in the same pots have not put in an appearance yet! I planted 3 in each of 6 pots but none sow any sign of life at present! :-((

Our dwarf tulips are up Balcony but only the foliage theres no sign of flowers yet ... the anemones do well and bloom for ages your balcony will look lovely when they all bloom :o)

I quite agree they will look lovely - especially as the Crocuses are coming to the end of their flowering period! Postbox red just doesn't go with yellows, creams & light blues of the Crocuses!

I'll post a couple of photos of my Anemones in flower.

Just yesterday I spotted a white bud in one of the pots that has the reds open. :-))
