I feel so sorry for all the people on holiday at the moment, hope it improves for them and for me!!

It had a very autumnal feel to it today, but the forecast is for good August. Let's just hope that they are right.

I agree..It rained all day at Tatton Park flower show yesterday..good job we went prepared in suitable clothing ,a real shame for everyone. It felt chilly back home too..:o(

I resorted to a fleece and warmer slippers. :(

I almost put the gas fire on,but made do with socks,and my warmer slippers too..Oh,and a thicker jumper ! I was up first this morning though,so it went on for a little while..a case of who dares wins ! Lol x

I almost put the fire on too, Sandra but it still being July I couldn't do it. I'm always up first in the morning, but I've dug out my winter dressing gown.

And ours,Chris..been on since 7pm,only low,but it just takes the chill off,doesn't it? We haven't had too bad a day really..mostly fine drizzle,but it's not windy..it's actually been very calm..just darned miserable !

Gave in and put the heating on, it's set at the lowest possible setting, but the girls are due and the place already feels cold and damp. I've been comparing our use of gas from last year to this and it's already up on last year. Probably due to the fact we still had the heating on until well into the spring. :( :(

You can't be having the girls round to a cold house,Julia,and I would have been doing the same..I haven't compared our usage recently,but I bet it's up,like yours :o(

I dread to think what the bills will be like for the winter...but I'll worry when we can't pay.
Both girls are full of cold, so a cold grandma house wouldn't help...

Oh dear,sorry the girls aren't well..I hope you don't catch it either..turn up the heating,and keep warm..:o) x
