A patchwork of pretty colours!

Beautiful, I must check on ours, it is right at the top of the garden and is very slow to get going...

Looks so lovely this time of year. Mine is bright red too but I don't know the type. Must take a pic.

I had a huge wall of parthenocissus on the north side of our last house...it's a quinquifolia...it shaded some bedroom windows and made the most delightful patterns on the curtains when the sun was on it. The new people removed it... I have it growing along the property line where it started on it's own, (I just know that I didn't plant it) and beside the house as well (where I did plant it) and it's autumn colour is spectacular... near the stream there is a small ash tree which is serving as a trellis for another wildling.. flaming red this year... I really love this stuff but thousands would say otherwise. Once it gets going there's only one way to stop it!

Mine is growing out of the top of a very tall chimney pot which stands on a paved area. It grows up & over a trellis arch. It is quite neglected, never cut back & I rarely remember to water it as its at the far end of my garden. The archway leads to what we call the storage area. It was here when we moved in some 10 yrs ago & isn't the rampant vine that many are known to be.

Dd, lucky you - it must be warmer for your plant down south.
