Not really Dawn the only thing I can think of is both times they were planted in the shade I remember in your photo of your fabulous grouping they were in a sunny position , I must try again !

Thanks Linda. Amy, yes try moving it, mine live on neglect but they are in a fairly open position.

when do they turn colour? I had them but they were green and succumbed to cold weather early in the autumn.

Hi Lori, hmmm, now then. They flowered around July, Aug time. The lanterns have been orange for a few weeks now. Next they will turn transparent with the orange inside the net-like lantern, fascinating plants.

I must go out and take another look.. just found it and it's gone brown but there is a fruit inside.
