Mallard Drake

He looks in fine fettle Paul. Very colourful. Some of the ducks in our local park are paired off already. I saw a flock of about 20 Canada geese fly over the bungalow a couple of days ago and they were in a v shape, calling to each other. I love seeing and hearing them, something special.

Lovely photo Bathgate. We have a few of these coming to the river at the back of my garden on a regular basis. Like all the "pairs" the drake is much more colourful than the ladies.

They are quite the charmers aren't they? I enjoy watching them splash around and acting ducky. They must be baffled as we are about the weather.

We had a hedgehog in the garden last night....nature is all mixed up with the weather warming and cooling. It's seven degrees this morning.
