This photo doesn't do it justice Gg , I noticed another dark coloured one with buds this morning ...

I have mine in a dark shady corner so have chosen white to be easily seen, have some dark washfield doubles as well but not in the best spot . !! need to be closer to the house so you can enjoy them better .... plus I need to move a bird feeder just above them

jays/jackdaws/magpies/Ravens are trampling them looking for pieces of food that has fallen out.

I know what you meant about the birds mess it is annoying I suppose if we want one we have to respect the other or try working round them , I have a lovely linseed plant growing from bird seed droppings I'm saving the seed to go on my wild flower patch when its time ....

Wow, I love this one Amy, such an amazing colour and I love the name! The dark red one you gave me is budding up and a yellow one that I keep meaning to move is ready to open it's first flowers. Mahonia Charity which is growing near the Hellibores has been attacked by birds too....all the yellow flowers, just crumbs on the ground....grrr....

Such an unusual colour, really pretty. I saw some of my pink ones in bloom today, along with Primroses, so early!

We grow this colour, but it is not called by that name..... our dark ones are not flowering yet only the pale colours...
