I'm afraid the person who gave me the cutting also gave me the wrong name as spotted by cottage karen ,as you can see its been corrected as a Ceanothus 'Zanzibar ' Thanks Karen ,you're a genius :o)

Lol,Amy..I think you were just testing us,to see who came up with the right answer..ha ha....I did wonder about the flower buds,but just thought it was the variety! I wouldn't have been any the wiser ,but thanks to Karen ,we know now.. x

Its a good job we have some bright sparks to put us right Sandra Lol... what I thought was going to be a small shrub has turned into one approx . 4ft in height :o)
