I have two of this one as well and bought the gold leaved one year before last too, Sutherland Gold, it was a very cheapy one from Wilkinsons only tiny but this year it's really got going :-)

One of my favourites, beautiful, mine got a bit bashed by the heavy rain but flowering. Sutherland Gold is beautiful too but I've had two die now, no idea why.

Oh no Dawn wonder why that is, I took cuttings from my variegated one and have 5 young ones doing great!, going to dot them about in the wood brighten it up a bit, and gave one to my neighbour :-)

I dont know Kathy, weird as all the other varieties love the conditions. I've managed to save it (I think), cut it right back and moved to another area. Yours will certainly brighten the woodland but they might turn a bit greener, dont you think, doesnt matter really, they are so pretty.

We also have this one. It acts as a good frame for other plants around it. Yours looks lovely.

I have this one too & it's a favourite. Not enough flowers for the pink champers yet tho.

I thought they might loose a bit of variegation Dawn so I'm trying to find spots with a bit more light , two are planted :-)
Hope you've managed to save yours if not when mine gets bigger I'll take some cuttings for you, I've taken some from the white ribes but not rooted yet :-)

I use the common hedgerow Elderberries to make Sambucus syrup its fantastic for colds and very expensive to buy in health shops ... I suspect you could do the same with the Blacklace berries ...

Thanks Kathy for the white ribes cuttings :-) I must check the golden one I moved to see if it is growing, thanks.
