Dahlia 'Tsuki-Yori-No-Shisha'

Dahlia 'Tsuki-Yori-No-Shisha'

Unusual , large shaggy blooms with creamy-white petals on sturdy stems .
Name of this dahlia means : “Messenger from the Moon"
The Tsuki Yori dahlia was hybridized in Japan in 1953 by Kumagai.
The novel, Tsuki Yori No Shisha was written by Masao Kume in 1933 and is described as a “melodramatic novel”. The film was made in 1934 and is listed as a “partially lost film”.
I could not find its story line and characters; Probably shaggy looking messenger of sort.

New this year.

Thanks Sheila, I am always on lookout for plants that deer and rabbit will not eat. (Not always successful).
