Amaryllis hybrids with buds in 3 pots in kitchen 14th January 2017 003 (Amaryllis Hippeastrum)

Amaryllis hybrid bulbs with buds in 3 pots in the kitchen. I don't know at the moment what colours I have in these pots as I've lost the labels!

These are "nursery pots" which is why there are so many bulbs in each pot. When they finish flowering it will be time to move them to individual pots.

I was wondering why you had so many in a pot. Next? then after repotting, what do you do? Thanks, Balcony. I lose the names of everything because I don't like looking at labels. I suppose we should keep a log. I like surprises!

Yes, thanks, TT, they are very healthy. Would you believe the pots had not had a single drop of water since last September, till I gave them some a week or two ago? I have to be very careful when they wake up from dormancy as they have no roots (well just the old dried up ones from last year), & if I water them too much they could rot. The new roots don't really start growing till the flowers start going over. That's why I repot them when the flowers are over.

I expect I've answered your query, too, Wells with my comments above. Nevertheless if you want to know any more about looking after them once they have finished flowering, don't hesitate to get in touch with me & I'll do my best to help you.
