Another beauty.

It is a beautiful colour.
We have struggled with black spot on many of our roses this summer.

Shame about the black spot. I blame the wet weather.

Thanks all, it has been worse than ever trying to keep the roses clear.....Beechcroft recommends mouth wash!! and to spray with obviously a diluted mix!!

Isn't the name from Argentina? I seem to remember the "Madres de la Plaza del 5 de mayo" manifested many times demanding the return of their loved ones.

I hope you will forgive me, GF, for usurping your thread but I thought this piece would be of interest to everyone on GoY. Most of us are parents or grandparents so we can sympathize to a degree with these Argentinian mothers & grandmothers.

It's a very sad story (did you read all the article) the final march was on 26 January 2006 but I don't see what it has to do with this rose or the 5th May.
The story of the 'missing' has been made into a film, an opera, song & documentary.(Some 30,000, of which 500 said to be newborns).

No, I didn't read all the article but enough of it to know that the protests ended many years ago. But while I lived in Spain their marches & protest meeting were frequently in the news programmes.
