Yes that is what we would expect but some years it all goes to pot,Hellebores are full out now as are a couple of large Camellias that are going to take a beating next week if the forecast is right

So lovely!
Do hope that the wintry spell won't damage anything in our gardens.

Mine are about the same stage as yours in the front garden, but the part-shady back garden is alway later to flower.

Spring certainly seems to have arrived in your garden, Brian. Things are a bit slower here.

Hellebores all out, but miniature daffs another few days, Camellia's are waiting for next week's freezing cold weather lol!!

Lovely little daffs aren't they, and like you Brian, our daffs have just opened up. Everything is going to get a shock in a few days time....weatherwise!!!

None of my Daffs have opened as yet, they are still in the bud stage & likely to stay that way for a couple of more weeks till this terribly cold winter spell comes to an end.
Yet the ones I planted last year in the church are starting to open their flowers!
I do have lots of Crocuses open now but strangely enough there's not a blue one in sight! They were new corms I bought & planted last autumn & there are usually plenty of blue amongst the yellows, creams & whites - but it doesn't seem that way this year so far!

Definitely a month ahead of me Brian. My tete a tete are just about an inch above ground. Quite late this year, compared to last year. My first dwarf iris jas just opened this week, and most of my hellebore buds are still hugging earth.
