Sure you have heard me moan about to much shade at times all the trees you see are in my garden. some are 60/70 feet high most of them I planted when my children were toddlers they are now in there Fifty's

Brian, you must have seen plenty coming and going in your road over the years!

interesting comment ,yes a few move on but the majority either have died in there homes or moved into sheltered accommodation of one kind or another.The lady who lived next door when we moved in in 1959 stayed until she was 101 died at 104 a great friend never to be forgotten.

That's wonderful Brian. My Mum lived in her house for 62 years ... I was born there! Sadly she is now in a Nursing Home ... :o(

Lovely with all the trees around and think of the wildlife that has benefited from it too. It's lovely when you get to know the people in your street. We've only been where we are for 10 years, but all our neighbours are lovely.

Your garden looks the way Imagined mine might look. We have had no rain this summer and very dyr last winter. the lilies are coming up brown.Next year, so it is very appreciated to see yours....

We had a wet winter but very little rain since ,only the deep rooted things are still finding moisture

I'm just keeping the veg and potted plants going Brian. Trying to save water as much as possible.
