This year I started several hibiscus from seeds. They can be highly variable, so you shouldn't expect carbon copies - just like daylilies. This is the first to give a flower. It is 5" across

A wonderful surprise for you then. I ve had several some never flowered until I moved them to face south facing north not one flower they don't like shaded areas I found.

It is a combination of H. rosa sinensis x H. moscheutos. Since this is its first year, I am waiting to find out what it will do during the winter.
