I'm just hoping this will upload while I'm.in Tasmania.
Everywhere, in gardens, verges and parks, blue and white Agapanthus are busy flowering...they're stunning!

They are such a pretty shade of blue. They grow wild on the Isles of Scilly too.

These are really lovely pictures, Janey! 😀 Agapanthus are such lovely flowers! 😀
A few years ago a friend gave me some & they flowered I think two years then I didn't see them any more! I've no idea what could have happened to them!
There are some shops with a big carpark alongside our block of flats & there are several flowerbeds. In the central one, which is a big half Moon, the council planted some clumps of blue Agapanthus & now they flower every year! I take photos of them each time they flower as well 😀

That’s good to hear, Janey. You’ve chosen a great time to miss the British winter . . . 3 degrees here, brrr . . !

Cold here now, we have snow expected at the beginning of February.......hope its not too much!!
22 Jan, 2019
We had a cm of snow here last night but when the sun got to work on it it soon melted away! Tonight we expect -4C! I don't know if the precautions I've taken with the few plants I have that would die in a frost will be sufficient. They have been so far as I've lost no plants to temps 3 degrees C below freezing.

The temps may not have got quite as low as forecast & my plants are still looking OK! 😀

I'm liking the idea of cold temps at the moment...we have 37°C today and thick smog in the Derwent valley, due to the raging Bush fires...:((

Uh oh, that is HOT. You’re right - we should appreciate our temperate climate. (46 in Adelaide yesterday!)

Wow Sheila, tooooo hot! Hope your family are all well..It's a bit extreme this year, that's climate change I suppose...:((

Lovely. We also have agapanthus planted in parks, avenues and house gardens. My daughter's preferred flowers. Will try to grow them in our garden.
