Wow!! Never seen one like this before. I'll have to ask my nursery neighbour. She only has Acers.

Well, it's WONDERFUL to see this Janey . . . thank you! I saw a picture of one last year and bought one, but haven't yet seen a leaf :( I imagine this one must be many years old, just beautiful.

Thanks for all the lovely comments, it's situated in a really shady and sheltered area Karen, I think that's why it seemed to shine out of the greenery.
I'm not sure if it turns from cream to pink as the leaves age Sheila, but you'll have this to look forward to this summer...:))

I think the leaves turn green with white markings, but mine hasn’t survived :( Not sure if I’ll find another . . . I wonder if there are other shrubs or small trees with “white” leaves??

Sorry to hear that Sheila...have these low temps been too much for it? I can't keep Acers in my garden, my Orange Dream which I thought was in the perfect spit didn't survive..:((
A friend gas a lovely standard, very pale creamy green, when I get home I'll ask him more about it..x

wow! Fantastic. Thank you for sharing. Every last sunday there is a japanese market 15km from my house, where you can find flowers, veggies, mushrooms, and plants. I'll ask the lady if she has this specie of acer.
