It looks like an Iresine in the bottom right. Is that what it is ? I like them.

Lovely, lovely. I'm glad to find someone else who plants 'close'. Such wonderful contrasts, colour and leaf shapes!

Thanks..!, I appreciate your comments.
Bodyn, now that you mention it, it does look just like one doesn't it ! I love Iresine too. The pic isn't close enough for anyone to see it well, . It's an unnamed coleus I got at a local nursery,he never has any of them named , but on the bright side, he's very, very cheap, so I forgive him....lol .
Yes Spritzhenry, I doubt there are many who go to this extreme, but I just hate to see dirt in my garden, weeds love it too much. This helps keep the weeds down. You know as well as I do, there is no such thing as a weed free garden, no matter how close you plant things, but I try to make sure the weeds have to put up quite fight for a space in my flowerbeds...lol.

I like to plant close aswell. There's a garden near where I used to live and you should see it - There's nothing there. It's a square of bare earth ! lol. not even a blade of grass, just a big patch of bare soil. He digs it every year and hoes it all the time but there's absolutely nothing growing in it. I feel horified every time I go past there and see it. I think you'd feel the same.
All the best, Hywel :o)

Hywel - I would just HATE that kind of garden! Why does he do it? to keep healthy and save gym fees? LOL. As you know, I have some properly planned and planted areas but others with pretty jumbles of plants! ALWAYS planted closely, though! Jerry is right, less room for weed to grow - some still do, though!

Oh you'd hate to see that garden Spritzhenry. Perhaps I'll try and take a sneeky photo of it to show everyone.
