Butterflies in the garden at last

Yes, isn’t it lovely to see them. I saw two Swallowtails in our garden on Vancouver Island!

I saw two cabbage whites on our cabbages.

What a beauty! Have seen lots of cabbage whites and a couple of others too.

Hi ,this year so far lots of red admirals and peacocks many more than we saw last year.

Not many here either!!

I've seen a few butterflies around here but it seems not even the "Butterfly Bush" attracts as many nowadays! 😞

Balcony not one on any of our three plants!! but plenty of bees!!

In the Scottish Botanic Gardens, thousands of Painted Ladies have been seen . . . apparently this could be an exceptional year for these butterflies. They particularly like Thistles and Buddleia so there’s hope for you yet, Balcony!

I've seen a (few) Cabbage Whites, some Peacocks & some Tortoiseshells & a few small ones I don't recognize.

I have also seen more bees this year than in the last few! The council gardeners planted lot of Veronicas around the flowerbed in the grounds of the flats where we live & they attracted dozens of bees at once! I'm hoping to get some seeds & sow my own for next year!

I've seen Peacock butterflies, Cabbage Whites, a Gatekeeper, and Small Woodland Brown, Orange tip. Red Admiral, Painted Ladies, Commas, an Essex Skipper, and Small White Butterflies, and two different Moths, also plenty of Bumblebees. So far a better year than last year. Lovely Photo.
