Robin on old fork

Had me fooled for a second Amy,lol!

It looks so real,Amy..just wonder if another Robin ,might take a fancy to him/her ? In for a shock ,I think ! ha ha xx

Amy, we keep an old fork at the end of one bed near the bird feeder, and a robin often lands on it 🙂.

Amy, robins are territorial Which is why you rarely see more than one in an average size garden (except when they mate ) so my thinking is remove the robin and leave the fork.If yo see one about have some dried meal worm handy ,I had one last year that would take them from my fingers after a little while.

Paul, Sandra , even though I know its not real I sometimes forget when I see it from the corner of my eye , Sheila we use to have a regular in our old garden but I'm having a tough job to encourage small birds in this garden we mainly have seagulls ,magpies ,pigeons and Jackdaws , its the lack of large shrubs and trees here , we've planted a few and have put in some trees but its taking ages for them to grow ..we had a Blue tit in a nesting box in the spring I was thrilled about that ... I agree with you Brian you are lucky to have the trust of the Robins its an amazing experience, it was a joke really as I was fed-up with not having any real birds :o(

Robins have a real pugilist behaviour don’t they! You may see a real Robin thing to fight it for territory! Should be entertaining Amy!

Years ago there was a movie that had a little robin helping a little girl find a secret garden... so are you planting a secret garden, Amy? our robins are making a come back. it's so nice to hear their calls in the early morning... hope he attracts other small birds. Hope the bluetits return. <3

Thanks Dd ,David , Lori I actually saw a real Robin today down the bottom of the garden funnily enough it is what we call the secret garden we didn't know it was there when we moved in ...
