So pretty right now, the Firethorn and Boston Ivy. During the winter months, I need to reduce the height of the wall plants to keep them under control. Everything in the garden has grown so tall this year..

It's all in the pruning Karen, I've let this get away a bit, but the top will be coming off soon, then during winter, I'll,prune off all the outward facing branches and tie it all in again.
Thanks Wildrose and Amy, I wish I'd taken the photo today, it's ablaze now..:))

Lovely. I think I will get myself a good red-berried firethorn. The one I have is variegated but doesn’t produce many berries according to other growers. And if you don’t have a good berry display there’s not a lot of use in a Pyracantha, especially with those thorns. Perhaps I’ll get a weeping cotoneaster instead.
