Yes,Janey,good to see at this time...it developed Clematis wilt towards the end of the summer,so I cut it down to soil level....very quickly grew again and decided to flower.

Unusual coloured flower. We had wilt one summer Meadowland and cut our clematis down, then we covered the soil around the base of the plant with compost.

Annoying isn't it,Lindak...I think it's better to cut the main stem well below the soil surface....it's such a pretty one.

Im going to cut my clematis down more fearlessly from now on. They respond really well! This is lovely.
