Bought these from Lidl yesterday evening, while I was doing a little shopping. Can anyone advise on the ongoing care please? I have purchased these French lavender plants in the past - however, I seem to fail with them. Also, they don’t seem to continue flowering for me.
( sorry still not able to post questions)

Oh thank you, Paul! That’s kind of you.
Yes, Julia, it’s full of surprises that shop, isn’t it! Thank you for your feedback too, most welcomed.

I'm envious of the fact you can even go to Lidl Kate , they look to be lovely healthy plants ...

Thanks Amy, I know, it’s easy for me to pop to the shop isn’t it. I’m definitely not taking it for granted, I can empathise, several of my patients have been self isolating alone or with their partner for many weeks now. It’s quite upsetting, even though it’s meant to be a preventative measure and protecting at risk people..I just hope we see a positive change soon.

Thanks Paul, I always fancied a little French garden in part of my garden - if it was much bigger! I’ll make do with the odd lavender, buxus balls, rosemary, olive and some fragrant climbers :-)

They are lovely Kate john innis no 3 with plenty of grit they like free drainage but dont last with our cold weathers you need Hidcote for survival which will cope with our weather has the best scent of all and lavender keeps mosquitos away too if you have still water on your property..

Nbr next door has a partial row of French Lavender & has added 2 new ones to complete. Sadly the new 2 look dry & scraggly after a week so WATERING IN DRY WEATHER is a must for plants to be established. In pots it is WATER , WATER & WATER

Let me know how these do for you Kate. Today I went and bought one myself from The Home Depot. I know it's not expected to survive the winter here in NY, but if it blooms through the summer, it's still worth the $20.00 I paid for it. It gives off a nice pungent aroma though not in bloom yet.

Good evening, or afternoon, Paul. I’ve planted them up on the rockery area. I really do like this variety, they look really pretty and colourful. I’m hoping they don’t struggle here either.. I’ve heard some people saying lift it before the weather changes and pop it in a pot and bring it inside or put it in the greenhouse? I’m not sure..
How big is your lavender then? Only as when you said $20, I thought, jeez..mine were a few quid each. However, I tend to agree, if we get a nice coloured, fragrant lavender for the summer season, then that’s fine by me! I’ll let you know how my two progress and if they keep flowering.

My house on top of a small hill so I never had to worry about flooding. I needed something for a place that dries out quickly and it gets full sun - what more does it need? lol! We didn't have a single snowflake all winter so we shall see. :)

Hi Kate: I posted the question on your behalf. You can now moderate that thread. You should get plenty of help.
