Really nice view from your window, lots of different areas of interest. Each area has their own little attractive aspect. That acer is a beauty.

Ooh it's really lovely Ba. Lots of interesting garden rooms and no lawn! Love it!

Thanks Stera,Kate and Janey. You wouldn't think having no lawn such a good idea if you had to power wash all the paving! :-))

Oh I don't know Ba, no dandelions and daisies and bird seed weeds...:))

That's for the first few years Janey, then the mortar loosens and back come the weeds. Then, if you neglect to power . wash a few times a year, which I did, the lichen forms black immovable stains. Indian sandstone seems to be the worst affected paving. I had it done thinking it would be easier to look after than grass, not sure now lol:-))

Really? That's not so good Ba. I have a large area of hard standing here of which half is covered in moss most of the year. I've managed to get rid with a stiff brush and washing up liquid this year tho..

Moss can look nice though Janey, japanese gardens have loads:-)

I really like the different areas you have created in your garden, what a lovely plan.

Thanks you two, I had inspiration from other gardens on here , Louis had a circular garden so I had two circular gardens plus a circular path and a rectangular patio next to my house which was already there. Paving seemed a good idea, no more mowing. big beds,......forgot about the power washing ( very hard work) and the fact that in some places my beds are almost 12 feet deep, so I cant get to the back when everything is in bloom, hence the buttercups etc:-)

I've certainly got loads of inspiration from here, has made me get out in the garden many times ;-))

How true Daylily (sorry I've forgotten your name, absolutely nothing to do with age lol) unfortunately it also inspires me to spend a lot of money on plants :-)
