Shirley you can see how long it grows ,perfect for pots etc. and the smell is amazing also very easy to take cutting from ... and it survives the winter ..

Not heard of this before, it looks great. At first I thought it was growing up, not tailing down. I will look out for it in the G C's. Perhaps it would trail over my water butt.

Thank you for all your comments Ff it would definitely trail down from your water butt it would look amazing .. ..I found mine in a run down GC which was closing so I'm afraid I can't point you as to where to buy one ..

I thought this plant looked like one I used to grow when we lived in Spain so I looked it up & found it on Wikipedia:

"Clinopodium douglasii, or yerba buena,[1] is a rambling aromatic herb of western and northwestern North America, ranging from maritime Alaska southwards to California.[2] The plant takes the form of a sprawling, mat-forming perennial, and is especially abundant close to the coast.[3] The name "yerba buena" derives from Spanish for "good herb" and is applied to various other plants. Molecular evidence places the species within the Clinopodium complex rather than Micromeria.[4]"

It brought back memories for you then David , you will remember what a strong mint scent it has ,it really is a 'yerba buena ' I love it , Thanks for the information 😁
