Mallard Duck

Lovely pic! So clear too. We used to have ducks in our garden pond, it was a delight to see. They even brought 10 little ones after they’d built a nest in our neighbours undergrowth.
Whenever they wanted a treat, mother duck used to tap her beak on the glass door!

How sweet, she came calling for you. You must have a special way with them.

Great capture dont they have such wonderful colours.

The iridescence on its plumage is wonderful. He looks very healthy.

He really is a looker.Very picturesque

We took some grain down to feed the ducks and a Mallard and his Mrs. took over, shooing every other duck away from the food. Very territorial.

That's great that you care for them like that. They could be quite vicious at times. I would never try to approach them, especially if they have a nest or ducklings about. The swan where I go bike riding is an enormous & powerful bird.

They are beautiful birds and their is a pair of them that we feed too.
