Thank you Ange - no, not at all. It’s about 50ft wide and 60 ft long. Our previous house had a very large garden but we downsized in September 2017. This was a square of grass surrounded by old shrubs. So we got rid of the lot and found a professional designer: I told him I wanted an informal garden that I could walk round, and was thrilled with his design. OH and I took some time choosing the pavers, slabs and stones, and then it was my job to choose the trees and plants. I’m glad you like it!

I can't believe how well established it is now,Sheila,from the blank canvas you started with .Was it really only 3 years ago ? It's all looking lovely,and you and your OH made some great choices..:o)

Thanks so much Sandra for your kind words :)) Planting was started in April/May 2018, and I think getting two fairly mature trees (Amelanchier and Cercis canadensis) really helped to make it look established :0)
