Bird food

What a shame......lol

Dotty, bloomin' Pigeons annoy me at times. One comes in the garden to bathe in the bird dish on the lawn. It's so big that most of the water splashes out ... grrr!

Pidgeons stand on the top of the fence to pick off my berries, red Pyracantha berries first, then when finished the orange berried one.

Oh Shirley ,I was laughing at the pigeons trying to tackle our berries last night they were having problems hanging on while picking the berries off .

Siris, strangely I haven't seen any Blackbirds feasting on them yet ...

Amy, Pigeons are definitely not the best acrobats!

I had to move all my bird feeders because the pigeons were 'crash landing' into the garden to get to the spilt seed. They broke branches off my Hebe and generally flattened everything. Since I move the feeders, things have flourished. They try to balance on the 'new' feeder line, but as you say Shirley, they are definitely not acrobats lol!

I have a Pyracantha too, with yellow berries, which the blackbirds seem to love. Yours looks to have done well too, lots there for the birds.

Julia, I really am getting cheesed off with the Pigeons now and wonder where the Blackbirds have gone as haven't seen any for a while.

I like the Pyracanthas very much, even though they are so spiky!

Now you mention it Shirley, I've only seen one this year, where as in previous years we've had several. I wonder why??

We still have a Blackbird nest up in the Grapevine and saw one young fledge a while ago. Sadly, nothing since ... perhaps they have more sense than us and have migrated to warmer climes!
