Decided to hang the sunflower head up on the branches of the solanum - hoping the birds will get some use from it! It’s a lovely day today, but, the wind is cold.

I'm sure the birds will enjoy the seeds Kate.
Keep warm and safe Paul. Where my sister's son is in Australia they've had giant hailstones.

Thank you Paul, Amy and Linda. I’m hoping that is just gives them a little extra, especially the goldfinches.
Paul, I read on another post you’d recently had a new lawn sown! I do hope it isn’t damaged by the weather. Is your forecast on Long Island for further snow?

Hi Kate, yes some weather system came down from up north and is freezing the Mid West US. Will it bring snow to the Northeast when it gets here? Most likely. I hope my new grass seeds survive. The weather should be spring-like again midweek - after election day which it Tuesday. Stormy weather is like the political metaphor.

I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for your lawn seed too, Paul! Yes, election time...it’ll be interesting. Stormy times ahead for definite.

Looks very seasonal and I'm sure the birds will appreciate the free snack. We've already had snow last week Kate with another arctic blast sweeping across the US right now.
