Clematis Freckles.....

Mine too, has been flowering for a while now, not so heavily marked in purple though, prefer yours.

Perhaps it’s because it’s in the shade.....the colours are more pronounced?

Dotty, yours or mine in the shade? Mine, (in the shade) is definately a seed offspring, from the original sp.cirrhosa balearica, var freckles, which I bought probably 35+ years ago. Never had the deep colour, like yours. Maybe yours is an improved freckles.
