Disocactus anguliger

An old plant but I don't think I've shown a photo of it before.
It is an epiphyte native to evergreen forests in parts of Mexico.

What lovely shapes each side of the foliage reminds me of pinkinshears sissors.

Hywel, That's really kind of you. It's kind of complicated to do at the moment but once things ease off next year, that would be lovely. I wish you and Bella a Happy New Year...

Thank you Thruppenybit ... I agree about the shape.

Anget I'll root a cutting and you can tell me when you're ready for it.
Happy new year to you too when it comes :)

Thank you Yorkslass,
It has never flowered but I am hoping it will one day.
It is naturally shiny lol

Thank you TT, the deeply toothed shape of the flat stems give it the name 'anguliger', it means angle-bearing.

Fascinating, Hywel ...
I like to read about the origins of words...

I guess epiphyte means it is like the rare Cactus which flowered in the Cambrige Botanic garden recently ?

Yes that's right, it uses the branches of trees etc as support :)
