What a fabulous window! We used to live not far from the Forest of Dean when the boys were little ... we had a cottage in Rodley and they went to the village school in Westbury-on-Severn. I loved it. OH was working for Rank Xerox in Mitcheldean, and we had a canoe which we used to paddle across the river to the pub.
Your son did well Julia. We also made the most of today’s sunshine and had a walk. It could snow tomorrow ... we’re certainly due a cold frosty night!

I agree, that is a stunning glass panel. We've already had snow here, a couple of flurrys on Christmas Eve, then yesterday dawned with crisp snow and a bright blue sky all day. Just perfect!
Sorry to hear about the flooding Julia, that must be horrendous to deal with and well done to your son, there to help just at the right time!
I hope Christmas Day went well as mine did, with my daughter and granddaughters....and now, back as before..
Very lucky though, to be warm and snug with my three little pets..:))

That sounds great Julia. We have been quiet, just the two of us, but enjoying listening to music and doing puzzles. I made some mini trifles on Christmas Eve, with strong coffee, sherry and cream ... yummy!
Janey - glad you had some time with your granddaughters, and how lovely to see a little snow too 🙂.

Beautiful window. Hope you have recovered from the flooding. Glad you had a good Christmas.

Very beautiful, Julia.
I do hope things are ok where you are with the recent flooding and now storm Bella has arrived? Hoping it didn’t affect your Christmas Day! Best wishes to you x

Julia, it sounds like it’s still a major concern doesn’t it! As long as the water has receded from the bottom of your drive - thank heavens..i have seen the weather reports for snow. You’d think people had endured enough this past year. I’ll be keeping everything crossed that you don’t have any impact from the water in the fields or the impending snow.
I did forget, apologies, to say earlier, your son has done you proud! What a hero! Xx

This year has truly been a beast, hasn't it, and it's carrying on to the bitter end! We are due high winds on Boxing day so made the most of a sunshiny walk today. Thank goodness your son was there to help. I'm always very nervous about driving through flooded roads in case the car stalls.
On a happier note, I love the stained glass. We went on the trail some years ago and really enjoyed it. The artwork is fascinating and I loved the Forest of Dean. I would like to go back. Perhaps next year - it doesn't look like we shall be travelling far afield even then....
