Thanks Kate. I paint the lightest colours first, then work backwards, and paint one coat over another. There comes a point when I stop or I feel that I am going to ruin the picture. It's difficult getting the right colours by blending the colours I have in my paint-box. If you haven't painted before, have a go as it's very relaxing. I've never been taught to paint but just do my own thing.
